Getting started
Do I need an account?
No. Athleon uses the iCloud account already on your iPhone, so there’s nothing to sign up for. Make sure you’re signed in to iCloud in Settings if you want your training to sync and to use Train Together and Social.
Which devices does Athleon run on?
iPhones with iOS 27, and Apple Watch with watchOS 27.
How do I import my workouts from Hevy, Strong or Fitbod?
While you set up Athleon, tell it you’ve been tracking with Hevy or Strong and you’ll be offered the import. Any time later, use Import Workouts in Athleon’s Settings, which also handles Fitbod. Athleon shows you how to export from each app, matches each exercise to its own library and lets you check the matches. Your original export is never changed.
How do I change the language?
Pick it in the first step of setup, or any time in Athleon under Settings › Preferences › Language. Athleon is available in English, German, French, Italian, Polish and Bulgarian, and your coach answers in the language you pick.
How does Athleon use Apple Health?
Athleon can read your height, weight, age and sex to set up your profile, and show your bodyweight history and workout heart rate. It can save your finished workouts to Health with their active energy. All of it is optional, and you can change what Athleon reads and writes at any time in the Health app, under Sharing › Apps.
Athleon Coach
How does Athleon Coach work?
Your coach reads the workouts you log and the goals you set, and answers in their own voice: ask anything from the Coach tab, ask for a review of a workout or template, ask why an exercise is trending the way it is, or build a plan. Coach suggests changes but never logs or completes sets for you.
How do I change my coach?
Pick your coach while you set up Athleon, or any time in Settings › Coach and Social › Athleon Coach: tap your coach under Your Coach. Every coach works from the same facts, your logged training, so switching changes only how they talk and the training they suggest. Earlier conversations stay as they were written.
What is Cloud Coaching?
An optional setting that has an advanced AI model write Coach’s answers and reports. It’s off unless you turn it on in Athleon under Settings › Coach and Social › Athleon Coach › Privacy. When it’s on, Coach sends only what a reply needs, and your notes and health considerations stay on your iPhone unless you include them. The privacy policy explains exactly what’s sent and where.
How many questions can I ask?
Coach always answers. Free includes 10 questions a month with Cloud Coaching, after which Coach answers on your iPhone until the next month. With Athleon Pro, your coach answers with Advanced Coach. Reviews and reports don’t count as questions.
Is Coach a replacement for a doctor or physiotherapist?
No. Coach and Form Check give general training guidance and can be wrong. If you have pain, an injury or a medical condition, talk to a doctor or physiotherapist before training.
Form Check
Which lifts does Form Check support?
Squat, lat pulldown, barbell Romanian deadlift, dumbbell Bulgarian split squat, barbell row and incline barbell bench press, both live and from a video. Form Check is part of Athleon Pro.
How do I get the best results?
Follow the setup tips for the lift you pick. In general, stand your iPhone up a few metres away, with your whole body and the weight in the frame and good light on you. Trends in Form History need three clearly tracked sessions of the same lift.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. Your movement is measured on your iPhone, and the camera feed and videos never leave it. Form History keeps the scores and reps from each check, never the video.
Athleon Pro
What do I get with Athleon Pro?
Advanced Coach, with sharper answers, reviews and insights; unlimited plans from your coach; Form Check on every set, live or from a video; the Your Coach widget; and the Gold, Platinum, Obsidian and Neon app icons. Everything else in Athleon is free.
How much does it cost?
$4.99 a month, or $39.99 a year with a free first week. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you subscribe.
How do I cancel?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions › Athleon Pro. Cancel at least 24 hours before your free week ends and you won’t be charged. Athleon reminds you two days before the trial ends.
How do I get Pro back on a new iPhone?
Open Athleon Pro at the top of Athleon’s Settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you subscribed with. Athleon Pro isn’t shared through Family Sharing.
Workouts and Apple Watch
How do I log a set quickly?
Tap the check mark on a set to log it. Athleon fills in the weight and reps from last time, so most sets need nothing else. Tap a number to change it first.
The workout isn’t showing on my Lock Screen.
Check that Live Activities are on for Athleon in Settings › Apps › Athleon. The Live Activity appears once a workout is running, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, where you can pause, skip your rest or complete a set.
How do I use Athleon on Apple Watch?
Install Athleon on your watch from the Watch app on your iPhone. Start your next workout from your wrist, use the Digital Crown to set weight and reps, and Double Tap to log a set. A workout started on one device shows up on the other, and the watch saves it to Health with your heart rate and energy.
What’s the difference between List and Focus Mode?
List mode shows the whole workout as a list of exercises and sets. Focus Mode shows one exercise at a time with large numbers, which is easier to read and tap mid-set. You can switch between them during a workout.
Train Together and Social
How do I train with a friend?
Start a workout together from the Train tab or from a template, then invite someone from your circle or send them a private link. Each of you logs your own sets, and you see each other’s sets as they’re logged. When you finish, the workout is saved to both your histories.
My friend can’t join my workout or circle.
Both of you need to be signed in to iCloud on your iPhones and connected to the internet. A private one-time link works for one person only, so send a new one if it’s already been used.
Who can see what I share?
Only the people in your circle. Athleon has no public profiles or public feed. Check-ins end on their own, and you can leave a circle or stop sharing at any time.
How do I turn notifications for likes and comments on or off?
In Athleon, go to Settings › Coach and Social › Social & Privacy and turn Activity Notifications on or off.
Your data
How do I move my training to a new iPhone?
Sign in to the same iCloud account on the new iPhone and install Athleon. Your workouts, templates, Form History and settings sync through iCloud.
How do I delete my data?
Delete Athleon from your iPhone and Apple Watch, then remove its iCloud data in the Settings app under your name › iCloud › Manage Storage › Athleon. Delete your shared workouts or leave your circles first if you want them gone from your friends’ feeds too. To delete only your Coach conversations, use Settings › Coach and Social › Athleon Coach › Conversations in Athleon.
